I just put a new dizzy in my car and when I went to start it up, it turn over a couple of couple of times but did not start.then it stop turning over .I've checked all the fuses,grounds etc..I hear the fuel pump priming but its not even turning over.like its dead!u guys have any ideas of what else it could be?

this issue is prob. unrelated to your dizzy, do your dash lights come on, was the car cranking slow or normal? check the conn. at the batt., starter, and so on.

 

did u try to put your old one back on and see if it starts cause that distr might be missing something

 

I've checked all that it everything seems fine.light go on (w/no dimming)all connections are tight.I will putting my old dizzy on today to see if it turns on.but the wierd thing is that its not even cranking over???thats whats got me puzzzled I will let u guys know how it goes.thanks

 

Have you checked your main relay?

 

yes.I hear the fuel pump priming when I turn the key.but still nothin.

 

your battery might be drained? if you tried starting it and it didnt work....you tried again? and again? then your battery died...lol

 

when and how did this problem started?? like driving and it die or you went to start it one day and no start?

 

Did you check the firing order, check if all your injectors and all your harnesses for the distributor are hooked up. Also make sure that you have the distributor timed right.

 

ok so i put my old dizzy and checked my battery.battery is fine.still nothing.seems like no power is going thru to turn the engine.???Is there any whay to check my main relay?maybe thats it.but i hear the fuel pump prime when i turn the ignition on.weird.anything else u guys think it might be???

 

maybe ur starter went out...*shrugs* you could go find a friend with one of those hand starters(connects one cable to the starter and one to the battery) just so you dont waste money buying new **** you dont need..

yes i think your starter's out hit it and see what happens or can be ur alter
