Default Code 13: BARO Pressure Sensor

I searched and came up with nothing.

Ok, I'm throwing code 13. Baro pressure sensor. What in THE hell is up with this? Cause/effects/resolution? Anyone know?

My setup:
'99 Civic Si
Stock ECU
Built low compression LS/VTEC
VAFC
DSM 450cc's
Walbro 255
blah blah blah and so on and so fourth.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

The VAFC causes it.

Hmmm.. ok? That wasn't vague at all.

What are the effects? Why does the VAFC cause it? Any solutions (besides tossing the VAFC)?

There is no solution other than tossing the VAFC.

You know you're running what's called The VAFC Hack, right? If you do know this, then hopefully you also know its ramifications to your ignition timing. And if you knew that, you wouldn't be running it. And if you weren't running it, you wouldn't have Code 13.

Not trying to be a dick, but there are more than enough threads about this using the search. Look up J.Davis' post about it. He has some nice screen shots showing you what happens when using it....it's not a good thing.

Is that the **** that u use instead of an O2 to trick ur ECU into thinking ur have the maximum ammount of oxygen in hopes of getting more hp?

Or am I thinking of something else?

Or does it stand for vehicle air/fuel control?

Hrm, dunno what a VAFC is :-\, and I dunno what a Baro sensor is.....I feel like a moron

No, not at all.. I appreciate the honesty. In fact, I think I'm going to run Uberdata or Crome at the very least for now until I have the dinero for Neptune/Hondata/AEM. It'd sure be a lot better than the VAFC, I know that much.

Apexi VAFC = Vtec Air Flow Converter.. it's just a hack into the stock ECU to allow you to control air/fuel and VTEC engagements, etc.
