you will know by revving it to redline, if it feels like the car is pulling less as you climb, vtec is not working. Remember, vtec pulls

oh yeah for sure...it'll pop like no other

you run the oil line the right way?

check to see you have 12 volts @ the solenoid with vtec engaged..

check to see if you have oil psi @ the vtec oil bolt...you're gonna need a oil psi gauge though..

Oh man why do I have the bet you have a stock z6 in your car?

s2 stg 2s really will make a noise from Xover and you'll hear it.

what kind of manangment are you using and are you getting CELs?

hes running a pr4 i believe it was a obd1 92 ls motor. the ls vtec is a beast itr pistons, the works but i think he needs more fuel hes runnin a VAFC so he not sure what it needs to be set at. i think it is working because it does pull alittle but i don't think hes got enough fuel. i think hes runnin 40 psi for fpr. if ur woundering how i now what hes got i'm the guy with the b16a in the op. VAFC say that its working but most likely not. but its going to over ride the ecu even thought it s not a Vtec ecu.

edit
cels are 10 3 and 17 but that was a few days ago.

you need some real fuel management dude. pr4 is a ls ecu right? and your using that and a vafc to tune a ls vtec? i bet it will run better if you put in a b16 ecu without that vafc. nm its obd1 why not use a gsr ecu?

wait, a pr4 is an ls ecu, wouldn't that be his problem right there....unless vafcs completely bypass the stock vtec engagement...dunno much about vafcs....anywho, just get a gsr or b16 ecu and see if it works...

ya pr4 is a ls i told him before we started the ls/vtec to get a gsr or a chiped p28 but he didn't listen he says hegot vtec working now but i have seen it so don't know. but tuning a vafc is very hard cause u just changing tthings and seeing what works best we can't have it dyno tuned theres not a dyno around here.

yea man, tell him to get a chipped p28 and have it tuned or invest in a wideband at the least... Butt dynos are not gonna keep you from burnin a whole in your piston...
