Default Need ac bracket for b series motor..with d series compressor

I need a bracket that will bolt up for my ac compressor to a gsr motor, but the compressor is off of my d16y8...someone said that a CRV bracket will work, is there any truth to this?
what will work?

I believe honda has kept the same AC compressor design so in theory it should work.

If you need a bracket such as del sol or integra A/C brackets. Give jdmland a call. They can help you out.

yes i believe the 94-97 (i think those years?) crv bracket will work. but there was something about what block you were using. if it was a b16 you couldn't have powersteering or was it b18? i dunno. something about the deck height and with one of them you can't have powersteering.... i know for a fact that the crv bracket will work tho. lol.

You are looking for a P7J bracket from a CR-V or the P54 bracket from a del Sol. The P7J is cheaper from Honda and will run you around $70.00 if I recall correctly. I purchased one a few years back for a B18 swap with a D-series compressor.

the bracket you will need are/or :
part# 38930-P54-000 b16 del sol
part # 38930-P7J-000 crv

the 99-00 civic si uses the 38930-P30-000 bracket as well as 96-97 delsol's (w/b16). these models use the same compressors as the integras and are not compatible with the a/c lines from the d-series setup.

yeah the P72 and P30 use the same compressor. eventually, while using 2 bolts your compressor is going to rip out. i've heard and seen it too many times.

i was sayin' you can use tha bracket off any of tha B16's and tha bracket off tha B-series CRV.

i have a 94 JDM B16A. i used to have a 99 B16A2 bracket on there, but accidentally left it in my first hatch when i sold it. i still have tha engine and am now usin' a 95 B16A3 bracket. i got both of them from tha junkyard, $10 all day. am usin' tha AC compressor off tha D16Z6. each time i had this setup, it was in an EH3 (92-95 Si hatch).

good lord, here we go again. no you can't use any b16 bracket, the only b16 bracket that can be used is the P54 bracket. any other b16 uses the P30 (even the jdm b16, 99-00 si b16, and the 96-97 del sol b16). the brackets you used must of been the P54 and you didn't realize it. the P30 brackets take the same size compressors the integras do, the civics have smaller compressors. and the 2 bolt thing is not going to work, they have the tendency to loosen and fall off.

tha 2 bolts will loosen up anyway? so, they had to have been able to go in first, before bein' able to loosen up?

yes they use the P30, i have one in my garage from my jdm b16a (92-95 sir2). so does the 96-97 del sol b16 and the 99-00 em1 b16.

and yes you can mount the compressor with 2 bolts onto the P30 but it's not reliable. when you get on it after a while the bolts either snap or come loose.

It is the truth.
I am using the CRV bracket in my car. I have '00 SI b16a2, and the A/C compressor from my '00 DX d167y and the CRV brackets connects the two perfectly.

You can also use a bracket from the Del Sol, but they are more expensive.

not to be a dick but let me fix this

92-00= Del Sol vtec Bracket p54 or the CRV, those are the only ones that will work. I Had the same problem. SI brackets are the same as gsr ones, and ur d series compressor wont bold up.
