When I first start my car in the morning, it idles fine and stuff but as soon as I start going my car feels like its having a hard time accelerating unless i keep the gas pedal steady. but when it reaches normal operating temperature its fine.

I've replaced the spark plug wires, spark plug, fuel filter, oil change, cleaned the air cleaner. also my timing is slightly advanced as the car runs a lot better because if i leave it at stock timing or retard, my acceleration becomes choppy at lower rpms.

My friend said that maybe my tb is dirty but it looks pretty clean. What could be the problem?

 

i'd also like to add that the car doesn't have a cat at the moment and i'm running a test pipe. and installed a brand new denso oxygen sensor.

 

what do you mean, unless you keep the gas pedal steady?

 

are there any CEL?
if so what codes are you throwing?
are you using the right ECU for your car/motor?
Could be a Bad Engine ground
Failing Distributor
Failing Fuel Pump.

 

i was thinking first, double check engine mounts. check fuel pump. those would be my educated guess's.
