you caliper is suppose to have 2 bolts. i really don't understand what you mean by rod and pivoting.
your 93 ex doesn't have abs, but there's a couple ways you can tell.
1. when you start up your car on the dash a abs light should light up.
2. abs civic's came with rear disc brakes, i believe you have drums at the rear.
hope this helps!

Re: (ACURAPOWERED)
just pop open your hood, look to the left and you should see the abs unit right after the headlight, next to the intake, (do you see the orange plug and metal lines). if there's nothing there, then you dont have abs
different car, same idea

Remove the wheel, look on the inside of the hub at the cv axle where it goes into the hub. There will be a tone wheel pressed onto the cv axle. Looks kind of like a timing gear only lots more and shorter teeth. There will also be a wire to the magnetic pickup arranged over that same tone wheel. It will also have more than just a master cylinder and proportioning valve. There will be an aluminum block (somewhere in the engine bay)with lots of hydraulic pipes and fittings along with an electrical harness connected. It should also run a test of the ABS warning light in the speedo display when you turn on the ignition. No ABS light no ABS.

lmao
these answers are funny
pple examining the engine bay, or taking off the wheel
2 ways, REALLY easy, easeist by FAR
do 30 mph, drop ur brake to the floor, if u hear a springing noise and ur brakes don't lock, u have ABS, if htey lock, you don't have it...
2, there's a light on ur dashboard, u don't even need to start the car, shine a flashline at ur cluster and u'll be able to see all teh dummy lights there and what they all see, if there's none that say ABS, u don't have ABS, there'll just be a blank black cover over one of 'em
edit:

Naw, ABS was optional on the EX from 93-95, they always came with drums in the rear...
