Default d16z6 engine build

i am starting the build on my d16z6. i have a set of zc pistons that i want to put in, which rods do i use? the d16z6 or the zc rods. i also have a comp cam i cant remember the part # but i can find out. anyways i want to clay the engine before i get it in the car. how do i make the vtec lobes kick in to make sure that i have good clearance with vtec engaged? and does anybody know how much compression that makes. i will be using the z6 head dont think that it has been shaved but not sure and i will use stockthree layer steel head gasket.

I have zex valve springs and JGE Titanium retainers both brand new that I never got to install.

Paid around 300.00 for them would sell 250.00 shipped.

If you are using a different block than the z6 then use the z6 timing belt.
