um, what is that dark and metallic refering to? the color of the bar after usage? need more info and context

It's very simple to use, but the claybar is used to remove dirt and other crap on your paint, not clear up scratches. I would try some Maguires ScratchX.

Claybar is very easy, wash the car down, then you can dry or leave it wet, use the lube that came with the claybar (soak it down) then just run the claybar over the mark, DO NOT PUSH. If it doesn't come up, use a scratch remover and hope it helps. If its on the outside of the paint, something like goo gone might work. But rewax the area after using something like that.

hmm, wierd i used to detail cars at ad dealership, we'd just use a 3M clay bar, and soapy water, push as hard as we pleased... never hurt the paint...

let me specify, it was wet the car down, soap it down, clay bar specific area...

yeah, I dont see why not. Sounds more like a marketing gimik.

As for pushing, if the bar grabs up some lets say, metalic particles, you are then pushing and dragging it along the paint on the car causing very fine lines/swirls.

hey, btw, the clay bar may not get the bird poop off. you may have to wet sand and buff...

ya, depends how long it has been there... and type of poo... acid from berries will eat away.

If you're up for a day of detailing, wash with the Blue Dawn dish soap, that will get rid of just about anything, this includes WAX though, so be ready to give you car a good wax job. I use it to get off the dealer wax on cars before doing a 2 or 3 stage wax job. By doing that, you can hope most of the poo is on the wax, not paint.
