Ok my dad was out in the garage spray painting and well got overspray all over his blazer, (blue suv with beige dots haha) it looks like its got dust on the car from far away. We started in this polishing compound and it was taking a lifetime. So I went out and bought some claybar and was about to start using that. But before I do do any of you have any ideas on what to use that may be better or faster? Thanks in advance

then after i get it all off, what should I use to restore the paint? wash, polish, scratch x, wax? any ideas on brands and type of wax polish etc? Thx

Diluted paint thinner - use sparingly, but will work no problem.

Use the clay bar and then wax it a couple times with good wax to bring it back. Beleive me this works I have had to do it numerous times before. I now paint outside....

do not use nail polish remover, it will slightly fade paint, well at least it did on mine.

just clay it. if its stock paint, the go in and wet sand a bit if its thick. then buff and wax the **** out

what i use to get overspray off is a medium paint reducer mixed with some medium rubbing compound..just put it on like wax ..by the time you wax the whole car start wiping it off..remember what panel you started on and just go around the whole car..after the overspray is removed just wax the car like normal ...if this dosent work(spray paint has a hardner in it which can make it hard to remove) you might have to wetsand and buff the car..id recommend taking the car to a bodyshop or detail shop to have this done

you must have used to much, use do small areas, and spray windex or another type of cleaner right after it.

try Clay Magic or Meguiar's Quik Clay... I've found that the Mother's brand breaks up too easily...
