Oil light blinking replace oil pump still no Vtec and light still comes on?
I replaced my oil pump on my b16 because I thought the oil pump was bad which would cause me to have no vtec, but after replacing it I still had the oil light come on I have checked the oil sensor and it is not loose, I checked my oil level and it is normal, doesn't leak oil any where however on occasion the oil light in my cluster still comes on and I have no VTec It was wondering fine til one day it just stoped.. any suggestions? Forgot to mention the light only comes on when I am a stop/ when my feet is on the brake...?

well I dunno what the reason is..but as you may or may not figured it out, the reason why ur oil light is coming on is the same reason ur VTEC's not engaging, the VTEC needs a certain oil pressure or it won't engage..
You said you checked the oil sensor and it wasn't loose...did u change the oil sensor? A bad oil sensor would cause both of those "problems"..

I forgot to mention the oil light only comes on when I am at a stop/ braking, when I drive the car the oil light doesn't come on? Does this have to do anything with my brakes cause it only comes on when I am a stop light or stop sign/ when my feet is on the brakes....

A bad oil pressure sensor would cause the light but it wouldn't cause the vtec not to engage. the oil pressure sensor doesn't go to the ecu so the computer doesn't know if there is low oil pressure.
IF the VTEC oil pressure sensor doesn't see the pressure, then vtec will not engage.
I would think maybe sludge or maybe it could be a bad oil filter not flowing enough oil, could be a possiblity?? Check your oil for metal shavings, drain your oil, put a magnet in there and see if you pick anything up. If I were you I wouldn't drive around, because you can make more damage.
