Default LSD?

Is investing in an LSD really that big of a deal?

depends on exactly what a LSD is worth to you. what do you plan on using the car for?

Just pretty much around town driving, and about 20 miles to and fro the workplace.

And if I could snag an LSD for about $150, how much is it to install?

call up a transmission shop in your area and ask. I've seen people charge anywhere from $50-400 just for installing an lsd. If you can get one for $150, then its worth it. But if you don't do any spirited driving, then its a waste of money

define "spirited driving"

I'd say like 100 mph highway avg, and 50 mph avg on backroads. I just love backroad driving, and was wondering if an LSD would "beef up" my experience?

my friends 03 si wit lsd is mad fun to drive, mad fun. but yea if you dont do much autox or much 'spirited' which i think he means hittin the streets hard (keep in mind there are other people who live on said streets who might just wonder out into the street) then you it might not be that much of an investment in the long term. im working wit some friends from our honda club and we puttin together a crx monster w/LSD to hit up the autox.

i have LSD and only notice it when im taking off.. doesnt add any "umph" to performance. i dont think LSD is important yet and money should b spent elsewhere such as camshafts

It depends if you have wheelspin issues. A stock teg GSR/LS does not need an LSD. But, If you are built and having wheelspin issues (like me LOL), then it is something to consider. It will not make you "faster".
