Pressure Plate & Starter Clearance Issue...
In the beggining stages of my engine swap. We got everything ready to go and did our check on the engine before we started rippin the old one out and found that the pressure plate was hitting the starter. Has anyone ever heard of this or had this happen?
I dont know if it's a company defect or what. They are closed for the night so i cant talk to a tech rep. It's a SPEC clutch & pressure plate.
The clearance issue is one of the 3 rivits that hold the pressure plate to the housing. It's hitting the very bottom part of the starter housing. I'm debating on just shving my starter housing so there is clearance but im not going to do that until i hear that this has happened before.
Any comments are welcome. Thanks.

b18c obd2a into my 96 dx, i got in touch with SPEC, they got some awesome service... i got a new clutch comin so hopefully it's a bad part and nothing else. gonna start pulling the hatch's engine tonight and wait for the new clutch to come saturday so we can finish up the swap.
has anyone had this problem tho? I'm kinda suprised nobody has posted, makes me think it is a bad part cause if it was more common i'd hear something by now.
