Default Suspension rattle...yes i searched

Ok, on my 93 EX sedan, it has the wierdest rattle ever. When i drive on rough road or up my gravel drive...its rattles constantly from the drivers side. This rattle goes away when i have the brake pedal depressed. Any ideas? Its starting to **** me off.

And, im tired so my description may be a little vague

ive actually looked...and the only thing i can come too is this

the center of the brake caliper...the section that holds the pads is loose. Meaning i can pull it back and forth and make a similar rattle.

I was told this play was normal, but none of the other calipers have the looseness to them. Which led me to believe otherwise but i wanted to ask and make sure.

Maybe your upper ball joint. Do you hear a clunking while going over speed bumps? Grab the steering knuckle above the wheel and pull back and forth and see if it moves relative to the upper control arm. Or while it's on jackstands, lift the wheel up and down and look for the same movement.

Make sure all of your bolts are tightened down on your shock tower. Check the top and bottom. I had a friend with this problem after we put is suspension on. It did that for a few days before we looked at it. The bolts at the top of the shock tower were coming loose. Tightened them down and no more ratteling.
