Default LED taillights

Has anyone experimented with replacing the bulbs in the taillamps with true LED ones?

A friend of mine with a 350Z swapped his tails on his 05 for the 06 tails which are all LED. They really sharpen the look of the car when driving at night.

I have an 04 S2k, and the taillamps are meant to look like LEDs, but the response time in an LED vs. a light bulb is ngiht and day.

Any who, what do you guys think? I think I might order some LED bulbs and try it out this weekend.

Tail lamp and turn signals are all bulb # 7443.

I just ordered some LEDs from HERE. Hopefully they will get here for the weekend to install.

Just LED "Look". Only the 3rd brake light on the center of the trunk is true LED.

ap2 tails are LEDs...

ahm-ownerlink lists the 2004 taillights as LED combination taillights.

correct, they do. But I have regular bulbs in my 2004 tails; So I'd like to know what their definition of "LED Combination" is.

Not really Id say about the same. They just look unique as well have that cool instant on/off look that LEDs have. They are not worth the price they cost but I already had them so I just used them.

Hopefully not. I did have this problem in an older Blazer I had. I put LEDs in the tail lamps and my fuse panel never sense that they were there because the drew such low currant.

i think this only happens, if brake and turn signals are in the same bulb. If they are seperate bulbs you should be fine.

Aye. The AP2 tail lights consist of a large L.E.D. brake light and dimmer halo. The turn signal is still a regular halogen. I performed the AP1 to AP2 conversion on my car as well as my roommates.
