Default oil cooler question

im building a gsr block and i went to go put my b16a oil cooler on and that one threaded metal peice that holds it to the block is different so i was wondering if i could run the motor without that.

The threaded piece on the GSR is different due to it originally having an oil to water intercooler.

Remove it and get one from a Honda dealer for a B16 (Del Sol Vtec). That will allow you to install an oil filter.

I'm not sure how your oil cooler adapter is set-up, so I can't comment on that.

well it looks like if i take out that threaded piece it will fit because my nut is a long threaded male piece. but to take out the piece that is there can i use vice grips to take it out. i was thinkinbout not runnin it an just putting a filter straight to the block but i really want that cooler on.
