im going to buy a 1991 ZC for my 1991 dx, smog should be ok right?

the zc im getting only has the top half of the headers...... will my dx headers be fine?

 

DOHC ZC is smog illegal in california...anywhere you go youre gonna get laughed off the dyno rollers.

 

as in visual? or actual smog?

 

i passed all emissions with my zc..but cali diff story lol..as for the headers no ur dx ones wont work..stock d-series went 4 to 1 and the dohc zc went 4-2-1..u can pick up a pair of headers for any d-series but u'll have to grind the ports to match..if u match up gaskets u'll see wat i mean..easy

It's gonna suck trying to smog that, i read this somewhere, get your mom to smog the car and make her act dumbfounded... Port match your headers.

 

the DOHC is not smogg legal, even though it will pass smog but no one will smog you unless you offer a little extra for them to turn there heads and let you test. Now if you get hit with a Test Only then your **** out of luck. Again unless you know someone that will not care what's under the hood and you have to pass the sniffer. Good Luck!

 

i have one in my car. just like the guys said, smog illegal, put it does actually pass the sniffer. if you don't have a hook up and you're worried about smog, don't bother with it.
