i have a completely stock 93 hatch with a d15b7 in it and ever since i performed a head gasket swap it has running rich in the higher revs. when rev it out and begin to approach redline alot of smoke comes out the exhaust pipe and in the smoke i smell gasoline which lets me know that all the is not being burned. also i dont have as much throttle response.

some things that ive checked

I dont have any CELs

I check the ignition timing

I also checked the timing belt to see if it was off a tooth

was it the right head gasket or did u try changing it for more compression?

what colour is the smoke? Black?

 

its not oil oil or coolant its a gas mixture problem
