Compression: #1: [180], #2: [20], #3: [172], #4: [180]....?????
as you can see in the topic, the one cylinder was only reading 20 psi. I rechecked it a few times to make sure it wasnt just me. I even had my buddy do it. This is why the car has been shaking...lol. I put about a cap full of oil in that cylinder and the psi's were still the same. now what??????
time to open the engine, and see what has happened.......then get it rebuilt......that's about all you can do.....i'd definately get it done asap though.....you MIGHT be able to fix it before it's too late....

true to an extent..if his ring's roasted than a new set of rings'll have him going
You'll know if a ring's roasted by smoke...is there any smoke coming out ur exhaust?
If not... Then ur probably going to need machine work....and as everybody else said, definately not worth it on a stock LX motor - just buy a new/used one

well i am sure its not the rings...he did a wet compression test as well and it showed the same numbers....check to c if there is coolant in the oil or oil in the coolant....after that u basically need to break it down and c what u have....the only other thing u can do is a leakdown test which is a lot more accurate than the compression test...but i would just take the head off(most likely where the problem is) and c what u got....good luck
