the bad and the worse
the bad...my car stopped going into gear when the car is running. Its fine when the car is off (meaning its not the tranny). I figure there is a leak in the lines or something...master cylinder maybe? slave cylinder? any leads?
the worse...the car will still not idle...I've tried everything..it still surges. Not as much but it still does, maybe about 200 rpms now. I reran every vacuum line in the engine bay...replaced every sensor on the intake manifold....nothing...i dont get it.

wont go into gear at all when car is on???? hehe. sounds like one of mine. if its the worse possible scenario, the flywheel bolts backed out. have you done any modding to your clutch or flywheel???
ah ****, dont say that...
actually, thats not it...because bleeding the clutch helps it for a little while...but then gets worse again...i just now got to the point of not going into gear at all

check the air in your lines. how many miles on your car? could be the clutch master cylinder. mine is leakin now after 200k miles. look under your steering wheel where your clutch pedal comes in form the firewall. see if there is any grease around there. also, check to see if the slave cylinder is leaking. if you have to bleed your clutch, follow the lines form your CMC and your slave cylinder and see if any of them are kinked.

oh yeah...since i guess you dont know...I have a about 200k miles on my car, 4k on my F23A1 and it is converted auto to manual...
so I dunno what kind of milage are on the master cylinder/lines
i also thought about a kink in the line

ok this might sound stupid but it works in my car, you might be low on oil, cuz when my car gets low on oil the idle starts bouncing. try adding some oil, or check your oil, see if that helps.
It is the slave cylinder. Don't worry, almost every Accord has this problem develop eventually. Mine did it, it scared me too, but the part is about 50 bucks and is pretty easy to change out.
So brian are you gonna swap out the slave cylinder with the other one you got? If you need some help I am free. As far as the idle goes we just swaped this motor in there and did all the fluids and everything and it did it from the start so oil is not the cause of the idle. Hmm...brian what ecu are you using again?
Brian,
Check the clutch master and slave cylinder as you as others have mentioned. One of these units is bad
causing the clutch to fail. The idle problem could be electrical seeing that you transplanted a different engine and transmission. Most likely a poor ground connection.

alright...i have a spare slave cylinder...so I will try that...
that means I have to bleed the clutch all over again huh...damn, that takes forever
i might replace the main clutch line also...its pretty cheap...$20

lol
the idle is really getting to me, as minor as it is I have spent countless hours trying to cure it and nothing has helped.
and last time I went to the track I had to bleed the clutch 4 times throughout the night just so it would go into gear...major PITA

tip on bleeding the clutch. just leave the bleeder bolt open when you pump until you see fulid coming out. then go back to the traditional method of bleeding the clutch. at first this idea seems a bit akward becasue you would think that the system would suck back in air when you pulled the clutch up, but it doesnt. i just finished changing my clutch master today, and took me 10 mins to bleed the clutch. the open bleeder bolt was my friends idea. it works. i have bled my clutch 4 or 5 times bnefore and it took around 35-45 mins from an empty reservoir.
