Did my clutch seize to the flywheel??
This afternoon we had some massive rain showers with some flooding, and I accidentally went through one spot that was a little deep not far from home.
At home the car sat on the driveway for about 6 hours, and then when I went to move the car, I started it up, but it wouldn't go into any gear. It's like it was locked out of all gears. I looked under the hood at the master and slave cylinders (both replaced a few years ago) showed no signs of any leaking or other visible problems. So I tried shifting with the car off, and it went into gear just fine. So then I put it into first gear and THEN started it up, and the car jerked a little bit, then idled fine both in neutral, and in gear with the clutch disengaged.
So what do you think, maybe the flooded road got some water in and around the clutch and flywheel and caused them to seize together temporarily?
