Default Integra shifter in an EJ1

Would it fit? Or would I need the whole linkage to a teg tranny...?

If so, what year/gen teg?

The shift lever itself should be a direct bolt in.

the shifter itself will fit (94-01 integra at least) but why would you do this?
if its for a shorter throw, $20 generic shifters work great
i loved mine.

I've never seen a short throw shifter for $20...though I'm trying to contimplate between a short throw shifter and an integra shifter...the reason for the integra shifter is I really like the way it looks, the way it's like set back in the boot....if that makes any sense....a decent short throw shifter is expensive, and on a stock engine I don't feel like droppin the $60 - $100 for it, an integra one on the other hand I can probably find in a junk yard..maybe 20 bucks?

$20 on eBay, but don't get those. They break too damn easy. Then you'll really have a short shifter.

honestly a shifter is a shifter.
its just a piece of metal with a ball joint.
as long as its not made of aluminum foil and you dont shift like your from the fast and the furious, its all the same.

one ghetto way to get a short shifter is to cut and reweld the ball joint further away from the pivot point .

a $20 shifter will probably snap.

As for the original question, I'm pretty sure 94+ Integras except ITR shifters will work. I bought a stock ITR shifter and it was a little wider than a Civic shifter so I cut it the same width as my Civic shifter and used the same spacer things from the Civic shifter.

ya, if I go with anything on this stock D series I'm probably gonna go with a teg shifter...like I said before, a name brand short shifter just isn't worth it on a stock motor...and I've had shifters snap on me before (4 times), and I don't shift like a ricer....better safe than sorry I spose...

I have a $20 short shifter from ebay and mine didn't break. I think a lot of people make assumptions not based on experience (not stating this towards you since you obviously have experience with shifters snapping).
