Needle Recalibration...
Speedo needle?
With the car on and the needle removed, but not moving (the car), stick the needle back on the pin but slightly below the stop pin. Then slide the needle over the stop pin.

Blah...put it below the pin...then move it above the pin? Why not just put it down over the pin?
(Yeah I've never put needles back on before....so I'm j/w...)

Because when you push down on the needle, you also push the needle up if not careful. When you are at rest, the needle may not rest at 0.

Yes, read it again.
When you push down on the needle, you will push the needle up the dial if you are not careful. When you are at rest, the needle will not come back to 0 MPH.
Sorry, when I type fast, I tend to type in other words.

Umm, if you know where your car idles at normally, I would stick the needle pointing to that position after your car has warmed up. I never had to recalibrate the tach, but it shouldn't be too much different than the speedo.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, but it's more estimated since u can't put it in at 0
what happens if you do it while the car is off?
