Speedometer questions???
When I start my car, my speedometer moves around erratically, and also when I'm driving, and sometimes it just sets there on 0. My odometer and trip-ometer work fine, no problems at all. Is it just the gauge itself or the VSS?

Re: Speedometer questions??? (silvercivichatch)
Anybody??? I finally bought an actron reader, the only code it comes up with is my o2 sensor, but that is because of my headers, so does that mean that it is not my VSS???

i don't think it's the vss, since the odo works fine...i would say electrical, but it's analog...i dunno

Check there and keep me posted. I've encountered this before, at the shop and that was a great fix, the car never came back for that again.</TD></TR></TABLE>
no 92+ civic came with a spedo cable. its all electronic.
i had a similar problem with mine, my VSS plug had some bad connections on it and i just closed them down and the problem was solved.
start with the plug and see if it fixes anything.

Re: Speedometer questions??? (Kamin)
Yeah, I was wondering about the cable thing because people kept telling me that but I never found one, thanks for the info.
I'll check the plug though and see if that helps.
Thanks
