you are an idiot, you ******* noob. how about you don't come in to honda-tech thinking you own the place?

judging by your signature, you probably have altezzas and a siqqq body kit. you can't drift in a front wheel drive car. grow up, learn to show some respect, and don't make pointless comments about someone's car...******* ricer.

I would see if a locksmith could make a key for it for you.

That wont be needed. Judging by the picture of the rex with the roof rack its a thule rack. So all you have to do is take down the 4 digit number on the lock and order up some new keys from thule. They are only like 3 bucks for 2 or something cheap.

Also to the OP, Yakima and Thule make roof racks for our cars. I have a yakima and it has been an absolute beast. It is also really easy to remove, only take about 5 minutes. Look for one used, as a new setup will run you between 250-400 bills depending on attachments.

If you want to find out what parts you need, just go to both of their sites and use their configurator.

I had a Yakima for my prior hatchback set-up for bicycles. It worked great.

Both the Yakima and Thule work well, but I like the Yakima due to it's using a round cross-bar. That way it's less critical that the two bars line up directly.

As said in the prior posts, due to the amount of parts required to put it together, the price goes up quick!! If you can buy one used that has most of what is needed, bag it!

I sound like an idiot saying this, but how do you guys attach stuff to them? Bungee cords? I'm scared of the cargo flying off on the freeway. And what do you guys use them for, that doesn't fit inside?

bikes and snowboards. It isnt that they wont fit inside, it is that they fit so much nicer on top. Also I dont have to worry about snow or mud in my car this way. They make specific attachments for whatever you want. Also they have a cargo attachment if you need to lug extra crap around.

I'm using the Yakima system on my '89 hb... I like it. I've got a couple of mountain bikes to put up there, as well as a Sears Ex Cargo for long camping trips...

found a COMPLETE set in the trash. i think altogether youd probably have to spend like $300 for the whole setup. and a long time ago, i got the CRX fit kit and pulled it out of storage. everything worked great!

my thule rack thread. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1511152

im definately looking forward to snowboarding season again this year.

sean, get the keys to the thule kit and remove it. its worth keeping. you can get carriers that will fit on top. my kit came with two pairs of ski/snowboard carriers. i only need one pair so i have an extra set if you want.
