I'm about to buy one of these in a week. I used to have an automatic '96 civic and I loved it. This Del Sol is a 5spd.

I recently came into a buttload of money, and have always thought tuning would be fun, but never had the bank. So lemme preface this with an honest "I know jack **** about tuning a honda." And now this: I want to build a 10 second car.

So, what is the best engine to drop into a Del Sol, without having to modify the bay? I want a hella lot of torque and HP. Gas mileage doesn't matter.

well my advice would be to use that money for something else (down payment on a house or something important like that)
but thats niether here nor there.

with a del sol, I'd say go with a b18c1 or b18c5.
of course you could do an ls-vtec but I'm not a fan of those personally.
an h22 would require some fab work, and a b18 will just drop right in there for the most part.
you'll get sufficiently more torque from the b18's over a b16. and with more displacement comes for potential.
if you want to hit 10's youve got a lot of work ahead of you, and a huge chunk of your wallet is going to disappear.
but personally i'd say b18c1 turbo.
