Bad Gas Light
I was try to test the gas light on the dash, I left the gas tank get empty, the car was shutdown and the light did comes on, I checked the bulb too and it's not out.
which can be the problem?

he didnt put gas in the car, and the tank ran out, and the light didnt come on.
now he wants to know what can cause it.
he said the bulbt isnt burnt out.
my guess, bad sensor (if there is one)

Yep the fuel sender has the sensor.

The problem sounds like the gas gauge showing low fuel isn't enough to tell you to get gas before that damn light even comes on.
Fill up around a quarter left. Running it that low on gas is not exactly good for your fuel pump.
