D16a9 engine with lambda.I have that.. is that possible? People who know.. tell me :D
Dudes, I want to thank you for your help with talking me through the engine cable wiring loom blabla and all :D that was very chill.
But I have a new problem.
I have a D16a9 engine.. and toghether with that a Exhaust manifold with a lambda
I spoke a dude that knows where he is talking about and he told me that there are some a9's with a lambda, anyone over here ever heard of that?
Special kind of A9's.
thx in forward

So what exactly is the problem. It does have a Lambda Sensor, which is another name for an o2 sensor.
Explain to me what the problem is and I can try to help you out.

i assume when you say lambda, you are talking about the oxygen sensor - D16A9s that had a catalytic converter in the exhaust system had the oxygen sensor - D16A9s without the catalytic converter did not have the oxygen sensor but had IMA (Idle Mixture Adjustment) sensor instead, which controls the air/fuel ratio at idle - it is located on the ECU - the ECUs are different for each
well, over here the lambda is just called the lambda
but I see you understand what I mean by that.
My problem/question is..
I bought an engine , a d16a9 ..
I always knew and thought, z5 has lambda... A9 has no lambda.
Now I have a A9 with lambda.. totally weird for me,
look :
a9 with lambda
In the normal situation my engine ( d16a2 ) has a lambda , so my new engine needs to have a lambda to, otherwise the wiring will give problems ( and ecu ) am I told.
Now Is it possible that I have a A9 with lambda sensor ( o2 ) or is it just a a9 with z5 exhaust manifold?

Yes it is possible that you have an A9 with a lambda sensor.

thank you
I need a MkII ecu for that... can you check the serial numbers if I can give you those?

the ECU for engine with lambda should be 37820-PM7-E0## - for engine without lambda, it will have IMA sensor right on the ECU like this:
my ecu
37820-pm7-X030
9p
and my ecu doesn't look like the one on the picture no ima sensor..
but the dutch forums just tell me, you have A mkII ecu, your allright , that's just an D16z5 ecu, it's for the lambda.
Iv'never seen a ecu with the IMA sensor on the ecu, or added to it.
