i have accord 05

and one day i saw empty gas sign came up

and my bro drove for a day

and after day i tried to start engine and engine just turned off my it self

and i look at gauge and gas signal is on way left

so i put some gas and engine start ....

so my question is, is there 2sec light for empty gas sign?

cuz i heard from someone most car have a final empty gas sign..

but accord does not have that one?

 

ummmm...i never seen a car with a second gas signal...(final empty gas) usually just see the normal gas sign that indicates its time to get gas...my accord sure dont have one...

 

the final empty sign is, your car not running anymore.

was that not enough warning that you were about to run out of gas?

That's about the last sign your going to get

 

why have a second sign or light?; if you'd ignore it like the first one

 

tell your brother he owes you $40 for a tank of gas. the light comes on when you are ~3 gallons left. there is no second light, come on, use some common sense

 

It usually comes on about a little more than 4 gallons left in the tank. I usually fill up right around when it comes on and usually put back in 12.5 gallons, and the tank is rated about 17.1 gallons. You drove around a day after the light came on? I've driven it close to end where its pegged on "E" and still had at least 2 gallons left. How much did you drive after the light came on? 150+miles?
