Default Electrical Problem, car messing up bad. PLEASE HELP!!!

It started when I first began to install my new speakers, keep in mind the previous owner of this car did an incredibly shitty job on just about everything he attempted, random wires leading nowhere etc etc, now i finished wiring up my speakers and put them in place and sat down to turn the car 2 clicks with the key to test them. When i turned power to the car on I noticed my headunit didnt turn on so right away I knew something was up, I turned the lights on, when the lights come on power shuts off to my dash lights my VAFC and my headunit which still wont even turn on. When I turn my blinkers on when the arrow flashes power is cut, then power comes back on then cut then back on. (i can tell b/c my VAFC cuts then comes on then cuts) When I press my hazard switch my relay in my fuse box makes a loud chattering noise. Somebody give me some suggestions, my dad thinks Im shorting out somewhere, I have the whole car gutted searching for raw wires, I've found a few and fixed them up but the relay still chatters when i press the hazard switch. Any ideas????

Cliff notes

turn power on in the car with the key (2 clicks)
-headunit doesnt turn on (the security light blinks though)
-press hazard button relay goes wild (chatters)
-turn lights on all the way power to my dash cuts off.
-turn turn signals on, power cuts with each blink of the arrow ( i.e - cut, back on, cut back on, cut back on...)

When I went to check the batter with a meter, it read 8.23 which i know is very low. now It's on the charger getting charged. But would that cause all those problems listed above?
