Default crx gauge cluster melting???

ok, let me start from the beginning , the car used to have a 95 sohc vtec in it, had a wiring issue (melting wires at the main relay) i switched out harness and the baught a b16a1 , put it in and had it wired in by one of the best around me.I still have not started it because i need a resistor box and gas , but i was putting everything else together(pr3 ecu, dash misc) then i put in the gauge cluster... after i hooked up the battery to check everything i could smell something, at this time i was putting in the dimmer switch, and i noticed it was hot , i started unpluging the cluster and noticed that on the back of the cluster, left plug, left contact, was melted..... i called this wiring gooroo and he told me it could have been that i put the wrong cluster in(i forgot to say the light for the bright lights was on)so i got my other cluster and put that in same thing , left side, left contact... i am at a loss and i would love to finish my car , someone please help me PLEASE!
