Default over filled my oil, need oppinions

My oil was low, so i filled it up about 1/2 qt too much. So its about 1/2 inch past the 2nd hole on the oil dip stick. the thing is, im pretty far away from my tools, i just had to stop at the store to get some oil quick. So can i drive the remaining oil off?

cant overfilling your oil ruin your seals and other parts. Just something ive heard dont know for sure. Why not just jack your car up and drain the 1/2 qt. it would take one tool.

Trunk jack + grocery store crescent wrench = possible solution

Then again, that's a possibly deadly solution. That jack is none too sturdy.

I would just get home ASAP and drain it to the correct level.

drain it.

if you will run it like this you will have unnecessary deposits on your valves and inside your combustion chamber,
