Default Fuel Door Question

Hey guys I have a 95 EX civic and my I've been having problems with my fuel door not opening. I have to take and stick my key along the gap around the door and pry open the door. I have no clue whats wrong and any help would be very helpful and appreciated. If anyone could show me some pics of what the inside of there fuel door looks like that would be sweet, so I can make sure that I haven't broken anything. Thanks!

take the few clips that hold the carpet to the left side of the trunk off..you should be able to see where the trunk cable goes in there..get in there with your hand, your gonna feel the spring "mechanism" of the cable twist that either way 90 degrees and pull towards you, the fuel door should open at this point.. now have someone pull the gas release lever inside the car and watch the spring to see if it moves.. if not theres your problem you need a new cable.. 01 - 04 civics have a huge problem with these braking just to let you know its not an uncommon thing
