Default 16x7 tires with 40 offset rubbing OEM muffler?

does anyone have a problem with 16x7 with 40 offset rubbing the OEM muffler on a gsr? i swapped out my wheels today and i noticed that the inner outer edge of my tire is cut up to the wires. also see a noticeable mark of rubbing on my muffler too.

how much different will 6.5 compare to 7 in terms of performance given the tires are the same model and compound?

there shouldn't be any rubbing on the muffler, is it the canister/muffler or piping?

check your hinges/bushings to see if they haven't fell off

No significant difference.

What size are the tires? 205/45-16 or 215/45-16, I assume?

i would expect it to rub on your finder over rubbing on your muffler....try looking for some spacers it might help.

i don't see why it would be rubbing. I'm running 16x7 205/45/16 tires...no rubbing issues at all! Take pics and post them up to show us where its rubbing.
