How many of you left the honda scene to start another project?
was wondering what you guys moved onto after getting out of the honda scene? for me I personaly moved onto a e36 M3, I needed a more practical daily driver then a turbo charged EK hatch. dont get me wrong though, I do miss that hatch more and more everyday but i dont plan on getting back into the scene anytime soon
I am cosidering leaving Hondas and try out Nissans (96 240 to be exact). I am just having such a hard time making a decision. I have owned 7 Hondas and never had any issues. I would also hate to sell my EM1, go to Nissans only to find out I dont like them.
I enjoy cars. I could give a expletive who built it.
Oh and turbo civic is my daily driver.
I can say I am pretty much sick of front wheel drive.
Now I am just trying to figure out these porsches. Gonna go to a clinic this weekend on valve adjustments. Hopefully in september I can make it down to a transmission rebuild clinic in maryland.

When I am out of school (another year) I am going to keep my honda as a daily, and do a full top to bottom, inside and out 3rd gen rx7 build.
yeah im an rx7 guy all the way, mostly 1st gen. i love the old rx2 and rx4 4-door. i just love the concept of the rotary engine... thats just me though

I am a big fan of the rotary, but with this project weekend car I also want reliability. So I am actually going to go with an LS2. Yea, I know I am taking away the "soul" of the rx7, but I look at it like this:
Japanese style
Rare supercar greatness
Incredible handling (even with the LS2...still 50/50, yea its been proven)
With reliable american torquey power to boot!
Basic bolt-ons can net me over 400whp with about 400wtq on a car that weighs about 3000lbs, and handles really well. Makes for a good combo. It will embarass the local ferrari, porsche turbo, viper folk thats for sure.

im thinking of selling both my civics and buying a wrx.Its more practicle where i live and theft wouldnt be an issue
I plan on building a Big Block 454 for my 72 Nova. Hondas or even turbo Hondas will NEVER be able to pin you in the seat like a BB will. Its different, and should be a kick *** weekend ride.
I haven't left the Honda scene persay..
but I'll be getting a Second gen Supra again. Most likely keeping it stock and enjoying it for being a early 80s sports car.
My family has a 72 Nova that we are building.

I'm currentlly in the process of parting out my car, but my next one will def. be another Honda.
And even if it weren't a Honda, i dont think i'd ever leave "the scene." It's a sickness i can't and dont wanna cure.

I moved on, but i still browse Honda-Tech daily
.
I sat down one afternoon and added up what I had spent (and still planned to spend) on my EK and found that moving to an E30M3 was far, far cheaper. Made the switch and never looked back.

I love my Honda, because it's been nothing but reliable to me. I've owned Toyota's and BMW's, and even a Chevy and a Ford, but I prefer the reliability of the imported vehicles. The Chevy and Ford both had issues, and I don't really plan on having another Domestic vehicle for quite some time.
Next couple of vehicles on the list will be a late-80's Jetta TurboDiesel (to run on biodiesel as a daily driver) and a Nissan Skyline R31 GTS-T
(yeah, I like my 80's Skylines).

I stopped doing Honda's to do S13's for a short period of time. I had a haggard fastback DD and a couple strip-down coupe project. I came to my senses and realized I knew more about Honda's, they were more fun and it made me happy. So I sold my fastback, got my H22 Accord daily driveable and am parting out my S13 coupe project. I recently sold my H22 Accord to do work to my turbo'd single cam Accord 4door.
I won't be leaving Honda's, not for a long long time.

In Germany I bought a 2004 Mazda RX8 to play with and in the states I'm still putting together my 1993 Honda Civic DX.
So I haven't really left the scene
