ok ive noticed that ive been getting blow-by at 4.5k until vtec , it doesnt happen all the time. i can drive all month without burning a single drop of oil if i stay below 4.5k. the funny thing is , is that after burning about 1/4 q. of oil it stops burning it. if i dont add oil it stays 1/4 low and never goes beyond that.
i think its either the pcv valve or the rings , what do you guys think?

 

when i first bought my 00 si the ****** noob before me had advanced the timing? (i dont know why) but it was smoking when i bought it. they wanted 12k for and i got it for 5k b/c of the smoking. went home fixed the timing and never had a problem with it until i sold it lol.

it may be timing on yours idk but thats what my problem was. mine was around 5k rpm though.

 

5k its somewhere near there so maybe thats it.
also my valves are out of spec. tick tick tick tick
anybody else?

 

i would correct the timing and get the valves re adjusted that will clear up the ticking noise.

 

any other ideas?
