Default what goes here?



i cant seem to find a harness that reaches to it

so i thought it was this:


but thi is as far as it reaches:


my fan still works...somehow the previous owner wired it up like this:


and the wire leads to this:


i have no idea whats going on now..its starting to overheat during driving...
plase dont same..."thats ***** dumb" or anything since im not the one who did it like this...

the motor is a b20 with a gsr head

I don't even think I have anything that goes there, I would guess it's for temp?

What model/year is the engine?

Yup, temp sensor...that goes to your thermostat....

Correct, and without it your fan won't come on. I wouldn't suggest leaving your car idling for very long without that plugged up. I've seen a blown motor because of that exact same thing. If you can't find the plug for it I'd atleast wire your fan up where it comes on with the key.

Does the wiring harness you're using match the head you're using? Also, I saw electrical tape in one of those pics around the wires right behind the connector...was the wire repaired/replaced, and is now shorter than it was? I wired a switch inside the last car I had to turn on the fan whenever I wanted to, but your looks like its wired to something Hot in Run, can you tell what its hooked up to? Is it on all the time? Doesnt sound like its on if you're overheating a lot.

If you have access to a helms, look up the eletrical of the sensor and see if the color listed matches the wires you think.
