People have put washers between the hood and the bolts that bolt it onto the hinge.

Then, he shouldn't have a problem with the B18C5.

i havent tried putting the hood on, yet. the new engine just looks alot higher in relation to the strut towers. im also using innovative mounts. could that have made it sit higher?

Perhaps those mounts may sit the engine higher. Why don't you test fit the hood?

in order for my poormans ITR to fit i had to bang the skeleton of the hood up a bit, but that went wrong so i shimmed it up abit instead. the very middle of the VC and the timing belt area hits the hood

If the mounts dont make it any higher than it will fit. Just like any b18c swaps

I have an H2B in my DA and There isn't no way that hood is going to close so I had to do the washer and bolt thing. At first I need 2 1/2 inches of the washers for it to close but I just cut up the hood a little bit and now Im down to one inch. Yours should fit but if it doesnt, it really doesnt look bad and a lot of the time you cant really tell. Good Luck!
