Default help! searched: skunk2 rear strut bar installation problem

ok i thought everything was fine but my skunk2 rear strut bar doesnt fit my EG. YES it is the correct model. here's the problem: the left side fits but the right side doesnt. and when i say it doesnt i mean the holes on the endlink is like 2mm closer that the shock bolts. now the tip goes in but it wont go down. I tried fitting with the endlink only so there's no reason it shouldnt fit. the left side fits fine.

and the skunk2 endlink is a solid peice not like a neuspeed where you can flex it alittle to fit the holes.

any advice?

i was thinking jack up the car but i dont think that will help

worse case scenario bore the holes but if its not fitting something must be wrong? maybe one or both of my strut bolts are angled out a tiny tiny bit from being thrown around, rolling on the floor, etc?

you mean sway bar?

did you attach the two pieces that connect to the strut towers, then connect the bar to them? you're not supposed to put it all together then bolt it on.

Are we talking about a sway bar or a strut bar? If it truly is a strut bar had a fat friend sit on the middle and flex it is a little. I don't really know.

Jack up the rear of the car in the middle.

your car has flexed... jack it up somehow or use a big jack to push the towers apart

ITS NOT THE TOWERS

like i said its a 3-peice and I havent even put the bar on yet... the endlink on the right side doesnt fit the holes.. the bolt goes tip goes through but it wont go all the way through.. i cant bend the holes or stretch the holes because its one sold peice of metal

it seems like my shock bolts are flexed or angled.. is this even possibe?
