Default Secondary Air Injection System Error code fired

Has anyone had this code fire before? (P0411 Secondary Air Injection System Error ) I just recently had a FIPK (K&N) air intake system installed and now the CEL is on. I have triple checked all the connections and CEL still fires. Anyone have any thoughts?

The whole error is: P0411 Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow Detected. I was thinking it was firing because of better (more air) intake flow. I will check the lines again tonight to make sure they are correct.

nah, more air doesnt mean much. thats why you have a MAS. Even with an intake, your not going to suck in as much more air as you think you are. the stock intake is very well designed.

i had that code on my '00 and had the dealer take the car 4 times before they figured it out (it was right when i bought it, so they had to take it and figure it out to get it inspected!). after going through many parts and crap they figured out that the valve from the air pump to the intake manifold was slightly out of line. i guess it was a little crooked or something in the vacuum line? anyway, they straightened it out and the code went away. make sure you check that valve, and your hoses.

yeah i had the same thing happen to me i was cleaning my engine and i must have pulled the vaccum line just a little out of line that went to the air pump. it threw the same code. Check that vaccum line make sure its all the way on the manifold.
