dizzys?

Default distrubters

can i use my dx dizzy on my mini me? or do i have to use the ex dizzy. my car is a 00 dx and the head is a d16y8? i checked the treads and none weather or not to change it

if im not mistaken, you must use the EX dizzy. i dont have much experience with D-series motors so please dont quote me on that

you need a vtec sohc dizzy that matches your OBD setup. example : if you are OBD1, you need a D16Z6 dizzy, if you are obd2, you need a D16Y8 dizzy

He is exactly right... no need to bump! You must use a OBDI dizzy from a EX or SI (SOHC VTEC) EX were made from 93-95 and Si were made from 92-95.

actually...you CAN use your DX dizzy...but with some modifications...here's mine:



the internals for all 92-00 dizzys are the same, except for whether they're obd1 or obd2. If the housing will bolt up, it'll work. The only thing you may have to do is convert from obd1 to obd2 or vise versa.

yes u can use your dx dizzy...it has the same bolt pattern as the y8 one does....no need for rewiring either..yes IT WILL WORK!! you can not use the z6 dizzy as in it wont bolt up..
