Spoon (p13) ecu program question(s)
Well on jdmshit there selling 92-95 p13 spoon ecu program and im assuming that it will work on my 95 gsr since its obd1. My question is that its a jdm ecu if i put that on will i be able to pass smog? And my other question is that it says the vtec x-over is 5000 and the rev limiter is at 8500 so will it really make my vtec hit at 5000rpms and rev to 8500? What i dont get is that the b18c1 has 2 butterfly or whatever where the 1st one hits at 4200 and the 2nd intake manifold one is a 5800 so will this ecu all of the sudden make my car hit 1 vtec at 5000?
I mean i know after 8100 or so the car doesnt make power, but my only mods i have is intake, testpipe.

yes its going into stock usdm p72. so ill only have 1 vtec? hmm will that make the car slower or faster or the same?

Well it's jdm so that right there will not pass Smog...And on top of that it's chipped, so your answer is HELL NO, IT WONT PASS SMOG...But you can always find someone to pass it for the right money...

wouldnt be a smart idea to use the obd1 p13 spoon chipped ecu on your 95 GSR. The h22a and b18c maps (timing & a/f) are different. Plus, what do you have done to your motor? There are no stages of vtec. The stock p72 GSR ecu vtec x over is set at around 4400 rpm, the secondary butterflies (iabs) open up at 5700 rpm causing the motor to create a different tone. If you do plug in this spoon chipped p13 ecu, I doubt that the iabs will be active, but vtec will be at 5000. You will be able to rev to 8500 rpm, but on a stock valve train, it's not the smartest thing to do. If all you have is intake and test pipe, chipping your ecu or getting a chipped ecu is a WASTE! Wait until you have cams, valve springs/retainers, full i/h/e, higher com pistons, etc.

^^^Listen to this cause it's not smart to run a different type of ECU, on something that is stock!

Chipped ECU's are pretty pointless, I'm assuming your motor isn't built so tuning wouldn't do you that much good. You should spend your money on something else. Don't waste your money just so you can use more gas and tell people you have a Spoon programmed ecu.
