Default running b18c6 with an unmodified b16a2 ecu?????

ive nearly completed my itr swap and was jus wondering, when i get it started up, i'm gonna have to go about 100 miles to get a custom chip as there is no one i know of in the uk that can send me one without having the car on the rollers and making me a chip especially for my car. would it be safe to drive my car to the tuners without my engine blowing up. or does anyone know who could send me a chip to the uk that would solve my problems (and save on dyno time) i am confident about soldering in a new chip.

if the number on the power steering pump mount is my ecu type, then its a p30...... i'm only guessing coz the integra mount says p73 and it sounds familiar

thanx all

check my website, I sell DIY kits for the P30 ECU (comes with two chips + all parts necessary to do the chipping ==> all for only $59US

i'd firstly like to say cheers to eg6ajk, u always seem to answer my questions, thanx mate.....ive just been on ur web site, but couldnt see a program to run an itr motor with a p30 ecu. do you do one even though its not listed? how much is shipping to the uk? do you know if i would damage the motor running it with the standard b16a2 program? i dont intend on using it forever.... i just want to take it for a quick spin once the motor is running.

also, while i'm here, do u know if i have to do any wiring? i have the itr engine harness but i heard the intake is different (secondary butterfly???).....does that require any modification?

am i right in thinking that i use the itr distributor if i use the itr harness? is it just a different plug, or would i need a specific chip for my ecu type?

thanks again

I haven't done any updates on the site but J's racing or PYR or even Mugen give enough fuel and extend the rev limit enough for you to enjoy the new found power.

as far as taking it for a spin, there should be no problem, the maps on the P30 are not that much different, only lack some fuel (can be added with fuel pressure regulator or larger injectors, if stock ecu is to be used)

GSR use dual stage intakes and require a P72 ecu, but ITR motor has a single butterfly intake (similar to b16a) , yes you can use ITR distributor and harness since your car is RHD, there should be no problems either...

but either way, you can just transfer your electronics and harness (distributor, injectors) to the ITR and be done with it..
