I'm about to change my headgaskket(leaking) and headstuds to ARP's on my D16z6 and was wondering which headgasket you guys reccomend. I've heard good things about Cometic as well as OEM Honda. Comments, input greatly appreaciated.....

What advantages does the oe gasket have over Cometic?

 

price for one, and i think they perform the same. i am using a cometic, because i dont know of an 84mm honda vtec head gasket.

 

same here 83mm Cometic, no problems

 

So far 2 in favor of Cometic. Anyone have success with oe gaskets and if so how much boost are you running?

all our racers use oe Honda we have boosted 40 + psi on them no problems and we carry them in all bore sizes

 

I have a OE gasket at 86mm been going strong for a year now, but I am replacing it soon.
