CEL Code 16: Fuel Injectors - DSM 450cc on D16z6-T
I posted this in the 92-00 forum, but I probably should have tried it here for the fellow d16 turbo to see. If posting it in two forums isn't okay, I apologize. Has anyone ran into a similar problem?

1995 EX
d16z6 turbo w/ 133k miles, 8-10k w/ the turbo setup
stock fuel system
450cc injectors
Getting a CEL on the way up and back from PSU this weekend... this is my first real problem with the setup. Please help me out and let me know what I can do to fix this. I'm reading the helm's manual now, since its not stock, any guidance would be very much appreciated, especially people who have had this problem with this very common setup! THANK YOU!

yes, it does it when accelerating, especially when starting to get into + boost.
planning on checking all resistor box wiring when i get home from work & purchasing a new set of injectors and having them cleaned & flow tested.

i got the code last night but didn't have time to check anything & it was dark. nothing was obvious when i opened the hood before. i am trying to get as much information on what has caused this for other people in the past, so i know what to check when i get off of work.
i need to buy a multimeter and check the resistances as well. do you know what DSMs are supposed to read?

yes, i am. this setup has been working flawlessly for 8k miles or so. this is a new problem that arose out of nowhere. only recent changes to the car have been window visors, strut bars, and a sub, nothing that should affect fuel injector.
the CEL popped up after turning the car back on after driving for 2 hours on the highway without a glitch on friday. i had let it idle for a few minutes, turned it off, got some gas, got some food, went to continue on my trip and the CEL came on and bogging/limped as I got on the on-ramp to I-80.

is the resistor box wiring soldered? ...crimped?</TD></TR></TABLE>
thats what i'm hoping, something simple
wiring is soldered. getting off of work in 5 min, get to check

wiring all appears to be fine... re-soldering some of it.
should injectors be able to twist while installed? two of them are somewhat loose in their o-rings i guess.
still need to get a multimeter to check voltages and resistances.

of course- they are just sandwiched in between...
if they were too loose you would have a vacuum leak

ok... so i re-soldered the connection to the resistor box bc it had some "cold" solders. i unclipped and re-attached the injector clips. i took it for a test drive, beat the **** out of it but it never threw the CEL or gave me any type of problems.
i was speeding/boosting up a hill trying to put a strain on everything... passed a cop and saw him turning around in the rear view, but I was able to duck into my neighborhood and put the car in the garage haha
ok... so now its not broke, should i still try to *fix* it or just plan on it not coming back?

Sounds like you solved the problem.
