LSD test- Find low traffic road, stop, rev to +/- 5K RPM, dump the clutch. 1 tire mark = open diff, 2 tire marks = LSD
ABS test- Use same said low traffic road, get the car moving to about 25MPH, put the brake pedal to the floor. You'll feel the ABS system through the pedal, and the tires should go intop a lock/unlock/lock/unlock sequence while the brake pedal is on the floor.
Enjoy!

I think some of the Honda's that came with an lsd had the trans case marked with it . As far as finding out if you have abs pop the hood find the bake master cylinder/brake booster. Look around that area for a rectangular block with a whole bunch of metal lines coming out

Umm, no. That won't tell you anything.
I have an open differential and can easily leave 2 tire marks when launching at autocrosses.

These are the ways to tell.
As for the ABS, look under the hood for a piece like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem
. . . or like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem
That is the ABS pump. It will have several brake lines attached to it (they are cut in the photos).

No. You either pull the axles and look through the diff, or you look for the stamp on the case.

There it is, 2 times, thats a sure fire way to tell, And the tranny can still be in the car.

And that too for finding the abs stuff, may not be in the same spot as the booster, it will be very visible in the engine bay

i would look deeper then just wind it up and dump it cause my dx hatch with a y7 laid full posi marks ( pretty decent ones too ) i dought honda put an lsd in their non-VTEC econo motor...
yeah, my vx lays 2 lines when theres equal traction at both wheels.
one tire on grass, one tire on road, and drop the clutch, then see what happens. thats the easiest way to tell, or spin tires in a turn.
