this (*(&&%(&^$ing swap is pissing me off! Tranny and clutch problem
OK this swap is pissing me off! one i had an oil leak had to take the timing belt off and all that to get the seal, fine got it in there all good, now we can't get the car to go in gear. it only goes into gear with the motor off, i bleed the line twice, changed the secondary cylinder and still the same stuff the clutch has no miles so the clutch is still good! what could it be? is it possible that we put that clutch fork on wrong? or the throw out bearing wrong? i am so clueless right now!
Check the slave cylinder and actually dismount it from the trans. Then grab the "fork" that the slave is connected too and see if it moves freely forward and backwards. If not, it's something around the input shaft. If it doesn't sound like I'm making any sense let me know, because it does in my head but I just don't know the proper terms.
Edit: did you torque the pressure plate down right and put the clutch disc in the right way?

we got a new slave cylinder and it is find the master cylinder worked fine witht he d series motor in it so i can't see that being the problem we know the tranny works because we drove the car that had the tranny in it but i will try the trick with the fork and yes we did torque the bolts down with the clutch and the flywheel
putting the clutch disc in backwards is a real trick and makes it almost impossible to get the bolts in. it is possible you got the sift fork or the throw out bearing in wrong. that would be were I start.
What brand of bearing did you get? OEM or something from an auto parts store? Beleive it or not while changeing the clutch on a first gen Talon one time we went to an auto parts store they gave us the bearing that was for the car according to them we put it all together and it did not work at all. Had to take it all apart, come to find out the bearing that we were giving was entirely wrong. Check the actual bearing that you have verses the old one if you still have it just to double check that as well. If it is OEM then I am not sure I would then look at the fork maybe.
