Default V-TEC Controller

Can I throw a V-TEC controller on a rsx type-S, or are they not compatible with I-VTEC? If so will I run into any complicatons?

Yeah, but why do you feel that you need to lower the vtec engagement point?

The VAFC Does alot of different things, I was thinking more about tuning fuel and air maps and ****, not so much worried about VTEC engagement points.

If you want to know about a VAFC then why did you ask about a vtec controller in your first question?

Hell why not just get Kpro? You can pick it up for about $900 and load up a base map setup for I/H/E and later on if you get extensive mods that would need real tuning you can get it tuned right.

As far as ECU get the k-pro and be done with it. You will have unlimited control. And according to Hondata with a cold air intake the engine responds better with a lowered v-tec engagement point, thats why when you reflash they lower it. It all depends on the eventual use of the car.
