RMF drag header with 2.5 inch stainless exhaust, no cat or resonators with a Magnaflow double walled 2.5 inlet muffler? I heard that the double walled muffler have a better sound and not that tin can sound ?

i understand your care about the environment and others. This car will not be an everyday pretty much just tracked and some weekends. So pretty much i just want the best setup for power and also dont want it to sound like ***.

If your a weekend warrior why not keep your cat and get a header cut out valve for when you take your car to the track.

i have a 2.5 collector mod to a 53006 cat with the 14416 muffler, no resonator, all 2.5 custom exhaust. it's deep but sounds raspy around 3700-3900 rpm or so b/c it's reso-less.

it won't sound as bad as an ebay can-o-beans. the 18 inch long mag-muff will sound slightly deeper than the 14 inch mag-muff, but without a reso or cat, it'll still sound thin. how thin and raspy the mag-muff will sound is up to the ear of the beholder.

fwiw, i like this particular sound myself, but not as a daily drive out of respect for others. therefore i asked the shop to make a flange so that i could switch between the oem and the 14416.
