Default changing clutch hose

i'm gonna change my clutch hose tomorrow due to a small hole. it is located between the clucth master and slave cylinders. it's about a foot long, has metal fittings on each end, and is a pita to get to. anybody did this before got any tips or suggestions for me? it looks pretty straight foward except its pretty hard to reach. btw, this piece of **** hose cost $90 from honda and is the only part i've ever come across that cost more at kragen than at the dealership... $110! thanks in advance.

Which part is it--

Most hydraulic lines need a flare nut wrench to do it right.

it's #16 which is #15 it looks like. yea, i thought it might need some kind of special wrench and flare nut sounds about rite. any chance you can tell me what size wrench it would be? i'm guessing a 10 mm.

i believe that hose uses 12mm stuff, but you could have had one made for cheaper, i used a local brake shop and they made me one for like 30 bucks, and also, i remember there being something funky with prices btw part 15 and 16, one is way more expensive yet they appear to be the same.....lemme check on that

i replaced mine with a steel braided one. from a place called "crown performance". they sell earl's/aeroquip stuff. we brought them the stock one and they made a new steel braided one. it was only around 20-25 bux. u might want to look into something like that around your area if you haven't already bought one.

thanks for the replies. this is on my daily driver and it is exactly that, i need my lude to take me to school everyday so i couldn't take out the hose and have a custom one made. i ghetto patched up the hole by wrapping it with hose tap and clamped a larger diameter hose around it to hold me down for a week. i already special ordered one from honda and will be replacing it this weekend. it seems like a simple one hour quick fix, i was just wondering if there were any potential problems i might encounter. anybody know what size flare nut wrench i will need, or even better, all the tools involved so i dont have to make any quick runs to the hardware store halfway thru the job?

you'll need: 10mm flare
14mm combo or socket
8mm flare or combo to bleed the cluch line
