its just that a aluminium block cannot take that kind of pressure. Your need to get the engine sleeved and basically built to take that kind of pressure and power.

i know a factory sleeved d16 can handle 26psi dont know how long but full race pulled it off but they had the motor built up except block and sleeves. so i figure a b16 would be around there but not completley stock. and for you ******* flamers the kid and a decent question he wanted answered no need to be dicks about it just because your on all mighty honda-tech and other people did it to you.

iono, I got a hard time believing a completely stock B16 can hold onto 37lbs of boost on WOT... Iono, seeing is believing and a video isn't seeing because there's no way to truely tell..

Maybe what they meant by stock B16 is it wasn't bored or anything, but might have reinforced rods - definately tuned, u heard it riding the rev limiter and that wasn't a factory rev limiter... I seriously have no idea how to tune to 37lbs of boost on a stock engine, that's some insane tuning, I have no idea how to tune like that...

As far as that quote goes...iono man, I wish there were some high end performance shops around here so I could run a tune of like 10lbs w/o throwing a rod - but chances are too null because there aren't any shops like that around here...

i ran a completely stock b16a2 at 11psi. Tooled on it like in that video. car made 260hp and 191tq. i'd say its all in the tune, but 37psi seems a lil redic.

in the forced induction forum, i read something like this: how many lbs of boost does not blow engines. it's the amount of power it can handle. i stopped reading after i decided to DOHC instead of SOHC boost.

and i believe 10lbs untuned vs. 10lbs tuned yield different amounts of power.

anyway, i'd only put down 30+ lbs (tuned) on stock sleeves if i was racing a ferrari for a pink slip. good luck driving that **** the next day.

What? Who said anything about racing a ferrari for pink slips?

No matter what that car was running (boost wise) it was not a stock b16. A little over a 10 second run has to be on a built (semi built) engine.

apparently most people on this site only stick in one forum section. that is a stock b16. it probably wont last long, but yes, its possible.

lol I agree, why does it seem so hard to hold a cam, if you cant hold it, tape it to the dash, just less weight

very true because of <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by civicminded92 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">"It took 30lbs of boost to make 460whp on a stock sleeved d-series.
